 Basic

Has a basic character set, which depending on the design, could be any combination of A–Z, a–z, 0–9, and some punctuation.

 Latin

Essentially the same character set as legacy PostScript fonts, the following languages are supported by standard OpenType fonts: Albanian, Basque, Catalan, Cornish, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Malay, Manx, Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, Oromo, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish.

 Latin CE

Includes the regular Latin character set, plus support for the following languages: Banat Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Serbian (Gajica), Slovak, and Slovene.

 Extended Latin

This character set for OpenType Pro fonts supports the following languages based on the Latin alphabet: Albanian, Basque, Banat Bulgarian, Catalan, Cornish, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Kalaallisut (West Greenlandic), Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Maltese, Manx, Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, Oromo, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian (Gajica), Slovak, Slovene, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Turkish, and Welsh.

 Case-Sensitive Forms & Spacing

Two features (case & cpsp). The ‘case’ feature replaces punctuation glyphs with variants shifted to vertically align with text set in all capital letters. The ‘cpsp’ feature adjusts the inter-character spacing to account for an all caps setting.

 Euro Symbol

Includes a Euro symbol.

 Fractions

Swaps typed fractions with a prebuilt fraction glyph (e.g. 1/2 to ½).

 Historical Forms

Replaces standard glyphs with historical forms e.g. (from f to a long s)

 Ligatures

Changes typed letter combinations of two or more into available equivalent ligatures (e.g. from f+i into fi).

 Numerators & De­nomi­nators

Changes numerals into Numer­ators and De­nomi­nators; for use in composing new fractions. For example, the typed fraction 15/64 will be reformatted to look like a prebuilt fraction using this feature.

 Oldstyle Figures

Changes regular numerals into Oldstyle Figures.

 Ordinals & Superior Letters

Changes letters into their superior forms for those available in the font. E.g. a becomes ª

 Scientific Inferiors

Changes numerals into inferior numerals. E.g. 2 becomes 2

 Slashed Zero

Replaces a regular zero glyph with a slashed zero glyph.

 Small Capitals

Converts lowercase letters into small capital letters.

 Stylistic Alternates

Swaps out normal glyphs for alternate styles of the same characters.

 Superscript

Changes numerals into superior numerals. E.g. 2 becomes ²

 Swash Variants

Changes normal letters into alternate, swash versions of the same character.

 Symbols & Ornaments

A feature that provides access to a variety of symbols, ornaments, borders, pictograms, or rules that are present in the typeface. Mapping, quantity, selection, and style varies with each typeface. Consult the character set of a particular typeface to determine exactly what is included.

 Tabular Figures

Changes numerals into Tabular Figures (monospaced).
